Contact us now and we will try to help you fix your RF386PXDZ1 timer-related problem. The broil element will not work, everything else does. I have tried a new element and it still will not work. I also checked the thermal fuse and get a 0 ohms reading on it.What else could be the problem? I replaced the control unit on the range a year ago - clock set button & oven start didn't work. Everything appeared to work fine after I replace it, but I didn't check to see if Oven Clean feature worked. We seldom use the oven & normally don't get it dirty. Now it is dirty and when we turn on self-cleaning we get a "door" error message. I unplugged & pulled back off and get continuity on oven lock switch at the control unit when I lock for cleaning and open when self-cleaning lock is not engaged. Is there anything other than the control unit that can cause this failure. Oven works fine otherwise - both elements! Just can't clean it! I believe I may have a faulty Baking element. When I put the oven oven set to Bake it will not keep a consistent temperture, however when I use the Broil function and set the temperture it maintains a consistent temperture. I had an appliance repair man visit and he told me I needed a new computer panel but why does the Broil Element keep a consistent temperture if I need a new computer panel? Any thoughts? |
