Renton, Washington | 6898VRV | F2 | The range/oven came with the house when we started living in it, about 10 years ago. For the past few years we’ve been getting an intermittent F2 code, although the oven seemed to be working OK. But in the past few weeks the actual oven temperature when stabilized is quite a bit below the set temperature. Aside from the F2 code issue, when oven seemed to be working properly the temperature value that initially appeared on the display when the oven was turned on started at 100 and worked its way up to the set value. But now the initial value that appears is much higher than reality; for example if the temperature is set to 550 the initial value is about 300 and then the value works its way up to 550 but the actual oven temperature at that point is way below 550. I found the single red wire attached to the circuit board disconnected at the other end, with the tape on the end of it. If the speaker is bad and you can’t find a replacement for it we can live without it, like we’ve been doing ever since we started using the range. | Repaired |
